Well folks it is September already and a new Craft Season is starting… While many large events are still being cancelled smaller events are still being held and of course our favorite is The Orange Park Farmer’s and Arts Market, which is held the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month starting this Sunday September 06, 2020 from 10 AM to 3 PM.
There will be about 75 Vendors, all sorts of Craft Vendors like JaxWhirligigs :), Food Trucks, Craft Foods, Farmers with produce, meats and other items.
It is always a Free event and held in a shaded park alongside the Orange Park Town Hall, certainly worth an hour or two of your time this Sunday.
JaxWhirligigs will have our full complement of Whirligigs including our Seasonal Whirligigs, Santa’s, Witches and Snowmen 🙂 As well as our newest Whirligigs, Large Flamingo’s and Butterflies…
Selene and I are looking forward to seeing you this Sunday,
JaxWhirligigs will be at the upcoming Orange Park Farmer’s and Arts Market this Sunday August 16, 2020 from 10 AM to 2 PM. It is always a great day at the Market, over 60 Vendors, a number of Food Vendors (including our Friends Corny Cooks) and the Market is always FREE admission 🙂
This Sunday we will have something special for Flamingo Lover’s. We will have our Purple Flamingo back in stock as well as a New Large Flamingo that is almost 50% larger than our Regular Flamingo. It is 15″ tall with a 26″ Wingspan, it really Stands out. The Large Flamingo is a $60 Whirligig…
Selene and I are looking forward to this Sunday’s Market and hope to see YOU there 🙂
JaxWhirligigs will be joining other Farmers, Craft and Food Vendors this Sunday with our full lineup of Whirligigs. The Orange Park Market is a great venue, especially in these trying days, it allows for easy Social Distancing and providing a number of Hand Sanitizing stations as well as vendors providing hand sanitizer in their booths.
If you are itching to get out and look for some great crafts, or just check out some excellent Food Vendors, this is a perfect event for you. All of the vendors are taking precautions for both their own and your safety, promoting social distancing and providing contactless payments when possible.
With the real possibility that the Large Craft events being cancelled for the remainder of 2020, Micanopy’s fall Festival, McIntosh’s 1890’s Festival and Flagler Counties Creekside Festivals have already been Cancelled for 2020, the Orange Park Market may be your only real opportunity for Handmade Craft shopping in 2020…
Looking forward to seeing you this Sunday,
Bob & Selene
Well folks it looks like the 3rd Time Charm is going to apply to the Orange Park Farmer’s and Arts Market… On May 17, 2020 we had expected to see Artists and Crafters return to the Market however due to some miscommunication it didn’t happen… On Jun 7, 2020 Artists and Crafters were permitted to return to the Market however… RAIN (lots of it) caused the cancellation of the market…
Now here we are with the Jun 21, 2020 Market coming up and it looks like A: Artists and Crafters are returning, B: The weather appears to be perfect for this Sunday and C: JaxWhirligigs will be attending So there you have it the 3rd Time is the Charm 😉
We will have lots of Whirligigs with us including our Newest Whirligig, the Butterfly Whirligig which is a $40.00 Whirligig and a short video is located below.
Selene and I are excited to be returning to the Market, we will be wearing face masks and shields, and we STRONGLY encourage everyone that attends any event or goes out in public to have a Mask or Face Shield with them for use when you cannot remain more than 6 Feet away from other folks. This Covid-19 stuff is serious stuff and should not be taken lightly by anyone and the smartest thing you can do is wear face protection and wash your hands frequently…
As always, if there is a specific Whirligig that you are looking for this Sunday let us know ahead of time so we can bring an extra one, either Call or text 904-302-1791 or email WhirligigGuy@JaxWhirligigs.com.
For the second time I am happy to announce that the Orange Park Farmer’s and Arts Market is back, including Craft Vendors starting this Sunday Jun 07, 2020 at 10:00 AM ET. REALLY this time 😉
The Orange Park Market has been operating, but in a reduced manner allowing only essential vendors, Produce, Food for Home Consumption, soaps and the like. However as of this Sunday June 07, 2020 Craft Vendors will be permitted to return.
There will be special precautions in place, reduced numbers of vendors to allow for social distancing, as well as additional hand washing stations. There will be NO Kids activities and picnic tables have been removed, Pets, while normally encouraged, are prohibited unless they fulfill a Service Requirement. Patrons of the Market are encouraged to maintain Social Distancing when possible and to wear Masks and Gloves when social distancing is not possible.
The Market is also requesting that Patrons not to touch products any more than necessary.
JaxWhirligigs will not be part of the initial vendors returning this Sunday however we are planning on attending the Market on June 21, 2020 🙂
Hope you get out this Sunday and visit the Market and hopefully we will see you on Jun 21, 2020.
Bob & Selene
Pssst…. We may have a new Whirligig Announcement in the next few days and have it with us on Jun 21 😉 we shall see…
We reported that the Orange Park Farmer’s and Arts Market would be bringing back Crafters for last Sunday’s Market, May 17, 2020. However that proved to be a miss communication and Crafters were not permitted to participate.
The next Market is scheduled for Jun 07, 2020 and at this time it is still planned to be a Mini Market Only with essential type vendors, Farmers, produce and Craft Food.
If and when this changes we will post that information and hopefully will be participating.
As always if you need a Whirligig, and yes there are times when one MUST have a New Whirligig 😉 , just give us a Shout, Call or Text, 904-302-1791 or email WhirligigGuy@JaxWhirligigs.com
This Sunday May 17, 2020 the Orange Park Farmer’s and Arts Market will include Crafters for the first time since March. While the Market will not have as many Vendors as normal, due to increased distancing, there will be a number of Crafters and while I haven’t seen a list I have been told that the Market will be at capacity for Vendors.
Unfortunately JaxWhirligigs will not be participating in this Market, due to personal decisions, but we are considering returning in June. However even though we will not be attending we certainly hope that many of you that enjoy spending an hour or so walking around the Market each month will stop by this Sunday and support the Vendors participating.
Also the Orange Park Farmer’s and Arts Market will not be taking a Summer hiatus this year, there are plans for markets in July and August and as soon as we have more details regarding those dates we will pass them on.
I will be working on Whirligigs this Sunday in my shop, as I am trying to use this extra time to really build our inventory, which many of you know is always an ongoing battle for us. And don’t forget you can contact me anytime, Call Me, Text Me or Email Me and arrange to pick-up Whirligigs here at our house on the Westside of Jax 😉
The 73rd Annual Florida Azalea Festival is this weekend in Palatka, Fl from 10 AM to 5 PM Saturday and Sunday March 7 and 8, 2020.
JaxWhirligigs along with almost 100 other vendors will be participating, this will be our 3rd year at the Azalea Festival and it is one of our favorites. There are always unique items and great food. Entertainment is usually top notch as well, and it is FREE 🙂
JaxWhirligigs will have 150 Whirligigs with us, so for best selection the earlier on Saturday the better 😉
Looking forward to seeing YOU this weekend,
Bob & Selene
JaxWhirligigs will be at this Sunday’s Market Yippie 🙂
The Orange Park Farmer’s and Arts Market is consistently one of the best local Markets for Hand Crafted items and if you haven’t ever been, or haven’t been recently you certainly should make plans this Sunday to attend. It is always FREE and there are usually close to 100 vendors along with some great Food Vendors.
Sunday March 01, 2020 10 AM to 3 PM at Orange Park Town Hall.
Selene and I hope to see YOU there this Sunday 😉 The weather is forecast to be great this Sunday, High 60s and Mostly Sunny 🙂
